At Teal Creative Studio, design excellence, accessibility, and professional integrity guide everything we build. As a practice aligned with the ethical standards established by the Association of Registered Graphic Designers (RGD), we believe technology should empower human creativity and elevate standards of craft—never diminish them.

We leverage artificial intelligence and custom workflow scripts to eliminate tedious, mechanical tasks. This approach allows us to focus our expertise where it matters most: strategic typography, inclusive communication, visual hierarchy, and precise accessible design compliance (WCAG & PDF/UA).

1. Craft & Human Direction

Human-in-the-Loop Oversight: Automation builds the technical scaffolding; human expertise directs the design. Every document, system, and asset produced by Teal Creative Studio is designed, curated, and reviewed by a qualified professional designer.
No Automated Final Outputs: We never pass unedited, fully automated, or machine-generated outputs directly to clients. Automation is an internal ergonomic tool to streamline production processes like document structuring, style tagging, and initial pre-flighting.
Focus on Accessible Integrity: Automation accelerates repetitive setup (such as style application or tab ordering), expanding the time available for rigorous accessibility testing, visual hierarchy adjustments, and fine typography.

2. Intellectual Property, Copyright & Originality

Original Work Guarantee: We do not use generative AI tools to create final client artwork, brand identities, or custom visual elements that compromise copyright ownership, client IP, or human authorship.
Respect for Creator Rights: We refrain from using generative models trained on scraped artist portfolios without authorization or ethical licensing frameworks.
Client IP Ownership: All templates, scripts, design systems, and final deliverables crafted for our clients remain their exclusive intellectual property according to contract terms.

3. Data Privacy & Confidentiality

Zero Third-Party Training on Client Data: When using script automation or AI-assisted parsing (e.g., converting unstructured Word documents to structured InDesign styles), we use private enterprise APIs and secure environments with strict zero-data-retention policies.
Strict Confidentiality: Your sensitive copy, draft publications, non-public research, and organizational data are never submitted to public LLMs or used to train external artificial intelligence models.

4. Accessibility & Digital Inclusion

Automated Assistance, Manual Verification: While automated tools help audit contrast ratios, tag structures, and reading order, automated accessibility checkers cannot replace human evaluation. Every document undergoes manual review to verify compliance with WCAG and PDF/UA standards.
Informed Teaching at Teal Learning Studio: Through Teal Learning Studio, we teach other designers how to integrate automation ethically—ensuring accessibility standards are built into the design process rather than treated as an afterthought.
